Every corporate professional, freelance and business owner has a brand. Regardless of your seniority and your career stage - you have a personal brand. 


Your brand is a collection of perceptions, thoughts, opinions and feelings that other people, inside your corporate or outside, have about you.

Your Brand Promise

Other people’s expectations from you, after witnessing your personal values and your behaviors can be summed up as your “Brand Promise”.
Your brand promise is a statement made by you to your stakeholders (managers, peers, subordinates) detailing what they can expect from you. 

This is in terms of the benefits and experience - the tangible and the intangible, i.e., the value proposition. It is the most important aspect of your brand.

Brand Equity

Like every brand, your personal brand has “Brand Equity” or brand value. That value is determined by the perception of and the experiences or interactions with your brand. 

In every interaction with a stakeholder, your brand equity can increase - if you keep your brand promise, i.e, you add value to the involved stakeholders, or decrease - if you fail to meet the expectations to deliver value.

Success is derived by creating value to others

When you master the ways to increase your brand equity, your improve your chances to:

  • Have a high impact 
  • Inspire, influence and effectively lead others
  • Collaborate better
  • Get promoted and get assigned with more responsibilities
